    President's Report

Thank you to all who attended the Spring Conference in St. George.  It was great to see you all.  I’m really enjoying getting to know you better and I hope you can say the same!  I wanted to update you on some of the goals that were established and the progress that has been made.

First, as an organization we have successfully established ourselves in Energy to Care and are eligible to participate in the ASHE Chapter Challenge.  I look forward to seeing how we improve over time!  If you’re interested in joining and establishing your hospital in this program please contact Robert Armstrong.

Second, our website is up and operational!  I’m really excited for this and wanted to thank our group that got it going including Heather Knighton, Libby Crapo, Jackie McGill and Josh Macavoy.  This should make our communications clear and up to date, make our processes for registration easier and allow for you to reference presentations or other informational materials easily.

Lastly, we have been working toward “look and learn” programs where facilities will highlight a new and/or innovative facility.  We have conducted one of these programs and look forward to more in the future.

Thank you for your support and feel free to comment on how we can make your membership to USHE more valuable!

    Joshua B Farber, PE, CHFM
